All Things Equine blog recently met with Maddie Mallon, a familiar face to the blog, to talk to her about her goals for the 2017 show season, and know more about her. Maddie is fourteen years old, and is no newbie to the show ring; She's been riding since six years old! Maddie grew up in the Big Apple ( New York City ), but made the decision to move to Connecticut to grow her riding career. She rides at Bexley Farms located in Bantam, Connecticut. Her current horse, Ewavanta, is a seven year old KWPN, that Maddie and her family imported from the Netherlands. Before Maddie owned her, she was located at Stal Hendrix and moved to the U.S in September.

The next shows on Maddie's list include the popular horse destination, Winter Equestrian Festival, where some of the most well known equestrians compete, and junior riders form careers. She shows in the children jumpers, ranging from 1.10 meters to 1.15 meters, but is taking a step up to low juniors, measuring at 1.20 meters to 1.25 meters. Interested in following up on Maddie's equestrian career, check her out on instagram where she is active daily.
