Some Fancy Treats for your Fancy Pony

Our ponies and horses deserve the world for the mistakes and mess ups they put up with… usually caused by human error. A special way to show your pony how much you love and appreciate them is through food AKA the way to any animal's heart. I was given the amazing opportunity to review and interview a new horse treat company known as Horse Treatery and get my horses input on the treats. I’m going to break down all aspects of this company, with all of my HONEST opinions!
There are endless options to what kind of treat can be found on their Etsy page, but my horses and I reviewed the blue pony muffins and blue rainbow pony donuts. Quick side note, my horses are actually very picky eaters, sometimes I think they are watching their weight, when they refuse to eat peppermints and Stud Muffin treats.

The packaging: When the treats arrived in the mail, I admired the way the pony donuts were packaged in a bag. The plastic bag like encasing prevented any spilling of sprinkles or breaking of donuts. As for the pony muffins, the packaging was more delicate, but nothing was broken in the treck to my house, and the bubble wrap prevented any issues.
The appearance: I loved how the treats were all “Fun sized” in a way. The donuts weren't to0 big and overpowering for the horse and the pony muffins were the size of normal peppermint patties, just thinner. The pack of donuts comes with roughly six of either mixed color of pattern, and there were a dozen or so pony donuts. I was able to keep the pony muffins around for two weeks in my trunk before they were in my horse's stomach. Nothing melted or leaked in my trunk, even though it was in 80 plus degree weather. The frosting was not sticky and smelt very great same with the sprinkles on the donuts.
The horses review: All of my picky eaters did not hesitate to try out the treats and then come back for more. Of course, it is hard to guess what horses are thinking, but one of mine has a very distinct way of saying when he likes something; He shakes his head up and down and then smiles, and that's how I knew the donuts and muffins gave the seal of approval. Not to mention the donuts were easy to break between my horses so I could save them easily, and sne

ak in a bite for myself. Which brings me to my opinions on the treats; first, I loved how whenever I opened my trunk it would smell of sprinkles and frosting from the treats, just like my room did for a few days. When I stole some of the donut bites from my horses; it tasted like a protein cookie, which sounds gross, but when you get the right ones they are delicious. So the donuts tasted like an upscale protein cookie… no complaints in that department.
Finally, if anyone is looking for treats for their ponies and doesn’t want to pay a fortune, I suggest checking out their Etsy page which can be found in the link of their instagram bio: @Horsetreatery , or inside tip, go to @Eqoverfences website to purchase limited edition gold and silver muffins and a customized birthday cake for your significant other (Pony).
