A Healthy Horse Is A Happy One

All things equine is always on the hunt for new products, usually they are for the rider though. This time, we took a step back and found a product to help your horse feel and perform great. Equine elixirs is a new company that is focused on helping your horse stay healthy and fight ulcers, and we are so pleased to be able to get the word out about them!

What inspired me to make the product?

My horse showed signs of ulcers. We treated her with gastrogard. I did a lot of research into the reasons that horses get ulcers, and what behavioral and dietary modifications we can employ to help prevent their recurrence. My horse is lucky because she gets turned out over night, and lives only a few miles from the show grounds. But for horses that get little to no turnout, spend long periods of time traveling to shows, and are stressed during competition, the battle with ulcers becomes increasingly difficult to win. I read about the many ulcer prevention supplements on the market, tried a few, and wasn't happy with any of them. Many of the supplements contained ingredients I couldn't pronounce, and didn't recognize. Not to mention that they were all extremely expensive. I read everything I could get my hands on about ulcers in equines and humans. I read scientific studies, the back of labels, blogs, product reviews, etc. After a few months I realized that I could make an ulcer prevention supplement that was all natural and more effective than the ones already out there. And that's how the whole thing began.

What does the product do?

The product is designed to provide gastric support and to help prevent ulcers. There are many reasons why horses get ulcers. One way (but certainly not the only way) to address the issue is by dietary modification. The product contains 5 all natural ingredients that provide numerous benefits for the horse's digestive system. Ulceraser is high in omega-3 fatty acids, which are known for their anti-inflammatory properties. Ulceraser is also high in glutamine, which supports and protects the mucosa throughout the GI tract. Ella is 15 years old and shows in the big Equitation, junior jumpers and sometimes junior hunters if she has a catchride. Her family has a barn in Wellington, florida, and she has 5 horses. One is her mothers horse Albert, one is her my old pony Elderberry, one is a large green pony hunter, Dolce Vita, another is her Eq horse and jumper Udamann, and finally her trainers junior jumper Vixi.

It has a really nice texture and it works very well, my horse has been so much calmer since starting it!

Aside from Ella trying and loving the Ulcerasers, I too tried out the products on my very picky eaters.

I have two horses, both who think that peppermints, and anything other than cookies aren't good enough for them, so i was pleasantly surprised when neither hesitated to eat the mix of oats. Alone from that, I will definitely be purchasing a longer term order.
