What's New: TKEQshop

Equestrians are always looking for new and improved products to advance the wardrobe just a little bit. Happy to say, All Things Equine has found a new and amazing company to style any look; riding or not.

Recently, All Things Equine has had the pleasure to partner up with TKEQshop - a company that created funny and relatable shirts to wear about the barn, and we were even blessed with the opportunity to try and review a popular design; the "Chips Happen" T- Shirt.

Wearing this shirt was an absolute pleasure, it is affordable and is freakishly soft, not to mention the laughs and complements i received sporting it around. The shirt fits nicely, and tucks in to any pair of breeches. The best part, the grey natural color pairs with any belt, or breech color. Some of my go to outfits with this shirt includes; My white Equestrilifestyle Spur belt, Tan Romph Breeches, and my TKEQshop shirt. I also loved pairing the shirt with my purple Tailored Sportsmans and Green C4 belt. As of now, i've had the shirt for a month and a half and have washed it multiple times; the color has not faded, the softness has remained heavenly, and the text has not wrinkled at all! Even my Wildfox sweatshirts dull after multiple washes. Furthermore, I had the chance to interview the brains behind this beauty; 17 year old, Kaeyln Kennedy.

How did you come up with the idea to start your clothing line?

I am graduating from high school early and wanted to create a brand that showcases both my creative side and my interest in business.

Who helped you along the way/ anyone you would like to thank?

My mother, Susan, is a huge support of mine both in and out of the ring. She also has helped by assisting with the initial setup for the brand as well as offering continuous support + pointers. Together, we have always been a great team!

I want to thank everyone for their continuous support of my dream. It is a huge compliment to be such a new brand and have so many supporters. I also have an incredible group of ambassadors helping the brand grow!!

What are your plans for the future?

There are quite a few designs in the works for my Spring Line as we speak!! I plan to release two to three designs per month until May. The Fall Collection will be launched August 1st, so stay tuned that!

Tell us a little about the designer of the clothes?

I am seventeen, in grade 12 and a competitive equestrian! For the last seven years, I have been competing in the Hunter Divisions as well as the Equitation Ring. Currently, I am based in Langley (British Columbia) and training with Thunderbird Show Stables for my last junior year with my horse EZ.

How do you come up with the designs?

I take a LOT of inspiration from my time on the show circuit as well as the characters I have encountered along the way! TKEQtheshop, as a brand, is designed to be about confidence. Whether it’s putting up my hand in class, speaking up in a room full of people or being first on course, I have lacked confidence in the past. I wanted to create a brand that recognizes the confidence of riders worldwide. All of TKEQ’s apparel is designed as a way for riders, both young and old, to recognize confidence in themselves. Confidence is a universal language and I want to make sure every time you look in the mirror, are called on by the teacher or are approaching the first fence, you feel that confidence inside of you.
